Our awareness initiatives are bundled under the IS-FOX product line and have been successfully in use since 2004.

In addition to our core competency in cyber security, we also offer comprehensive e-learning courses and training on cyber security, data protection, compliance, BCM, and occupational safety thanks to active customer demand.

Our goal is to provide you with easy-to-understand training courses with concrete action items and an interactive learning experience. To meet our own quality standards, we combine our expertise in IT security with didactics and multimedia expertise at agency level.

HvS e-learning courses meet the latest technical standards and are state of the art.

Software used

We create courses with a classic design using Articulate Storyline 360, one of the market leaders for e-learning authoring tools. Courses in “responsive design” are created with the counterpart Articulate Rise.

Supported e-learning standards

The course modules can be delivered in all international e-learning standards Scorm 1.2, Scorm 2004, AICC or xAPI and are therefore compatible with virtually any learning management system (LMS).

The Scorm standard is an international e-learning standard and defines how an 
e-learning course and a learning management system (LMS) communicate with each other. Thanks to this widespread standard, every e-learning course can “speak the same language” with every LMS. Although Scorm is quite old and there are already many modern successors (AICC, xAPI), over 95% of all e-learning courses still run in the Scorm standard because it simply does what it is supposed to do.

We are happy to provide you with a short test version in advance to test the technical interaction with your learning management system.

Requirements for end devices

All HvS training courses are developed purely for use in HTML5 and can therefore be run on any end device with a modern browser without additional software installation.

• HTML5 is natively supported by all modern browsers. However, the functionality and display of the individual elements is heavily dependent on the respective browser and its “HTML5 engine”.
• Most common browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari, Edge, etc.) support HTML5, albeit in very different qualities.  
• You can view the current HTML5 maturity level of the browser you are using at http://html5test.com/results/desktop.html. Internet Explorer in particular, which is used in many companies, only supports HTML5 to a limited extent.
• HvS tests e-learnings on Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome and Safari (Apple iPads). Nevertheless, we cannot guarantee an error-free display. This depends on the browser version used and the configuration. So far, however, all errors that have occurred have been resolved satisfactorily together with the customer.
